Customer Care & Warranty Specialist

This will include providing on site timely, quality repairs, including the execution of warranty repairs, maintenance, and installation of our products, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring our customers experience reliability and superior customer service.

Duties
- Assess and understand the deficiencies in a new home to develop efficient approaches to address each situation
- Provide guidance and information directly to customer regarding the operation, maintenance and care for their new home.
- Providing post-possession services and warrantable repairs.
- Review maintenance items with new homeowners.
- Communicating with head office to schedule contractors or suppliers for customer follow-ups.
- Supervise or perform repairs as required.
- Assist head office in updating customer files during the warranty period.
- Consult with staff, management, trade partners and suppliers
- Maintain customer contact according to company warranty policy.
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely fashion & escalate concerns when needed.
- Additional duties as assigned or as required to ensure our teams meet our customers’ needs
What you bring to the team:
- Strong communication, customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Ability to investigate issues as well as determine the appropriate action.
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and building codes
- Physically able to walk and stand for long periods of time, plus squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching and twisting
- Able to lift/carry at least 50lbs of weight
- Must be comfortable with heights and small spaces

Training and Certification
- High school education
- Construction related diploma or certificate is an asset
- Previous experience in working in the customer service field
- Valid driver’s license with zero to minimal demerits.
- Previous construction, homebuilding or home inspections experience is an asset.
- Minimum of 1 year warranty and/or construction experience, multi-family preferred
- Previous experience in working in the customer service field
- Clear criminal record check
