‘A-plus location’ in Seton near community amenities to offer homes in 10 buildings.
Logel Homes is capping off a huge year in the Calgary housing development industry with its largest project to date: Meridian Seton.
Meridian, Logel Homes’ third development in Seton, boasts 790 homes across 10 buildings, the first of which hit the market for potential buyers near the end of October.
“Our main focus is on buyers who want to live in the home as our residents benefit from pride of ownership and community. We focus on right-sizers and firsttime homebuyers. They make up 80 per cent of our purchaser mix,” said Brayden Logel, president of Logel Homes.
Meridian’s one-bedroom and two-bedroom condos respectively start at $209,900 plus GST and $259,900 plus GST.
Logel Homes’ vision here wasn’t to just build homes, but to create a new community from the ground up. Meridian Seton is a continuation of Logel Homes’ close partnership with Brookfield Residential, which designs and develops the overall community of Seton. Logel Homes then purchases land within the community to design and build residential units.
The Seton Homeowners Association opened the doors to The Block, its new 14,000-squarefoot community centre, in August. Exclusive to residents and their guests, The Block features multi-purpose rooms, gym facilities, a kitchen and a variety of gathering areas for casual get-togethers.
This is part of a larger six-acre community space with a wide array of recreational and cultural facilities, including a splash park, skating area, fire pit, picnic shelters, hockey rink, pickleball courts, playground, amphitheatre and more.
“Every Logel Home development is carefully assessed when we purchase the land ensuring it’s meeting not only our criteria, but also our customers,” said Logel.
“This means we need to focus on what we call `A-plus’ locations that have great walkability and are adjacent to amenity-rich retail and shopping destinations.”
Meridian delivers just that. Beyond the grocery store and movie theatre just across the road, a short five-minute walk takes residents to Brookfield’s Market Street with its unique assortment of dining establishments, pubs and spa.
Logel says this customer-first approach was a major driver in their recent success at this year’s Customerinsight Home Owner Mark of Excellence (H.O.M.E.) Awards. Logel Homes took the crown for Best Customer Experience in the Calgary multi-family (250-plus homes) category, its 10th overall H.O.M.E. Awards win.
“It’s great to be recognized amongst a group of peers in the homebuilding industry who are also striving to elevate the customer experience,” said Logel, adding that Best Customer Experience award winners are decided solely on customer reviews.
