Seton West launches six new show suites

Four years to the day after cutting the ribbon at Auburn Rise, the first condominium development under the Logel Homes brand, founder Tim Logel used his lucky scissors to officially open six new show suites in Seton West.

“This is our 50th building since we started (as Cardel Lifestyles) back in 2002. Now, we have close to 500 units under construction today and we recently turned over our 4,500th condominium and townhome,” said Logel at the June 2nd ceremony. “We’ve been working on our strategy to build high quality, well-designed affordable condos with a focus on exceeding the expectations of our customers. I was thrilled when I walked through this building last week because I can see that’s what we’re doing. We’re innovating in places where others might not look to innovate.”

The show suite opening at Seton West came on the heels of Logel’s successful showing at the 2021 Building Industry and Land Development (BILD) Calgary Region Awards, winning Multi-Family Builder of the Year, large volume, plus awards for excellence in design and Sales Rookie of the Year for staffer Scott Farquhar.

Two of Logel’s award-winning floor plans are included in the six-suite parade in the six-building development in Seton, a community that earned developer Brookfield Residential a BILD award for Community of the Year, Calgary. Those are The Carr 2, a 543-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bathroom model and The Atwood 2, a 1,020-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom corner unit.

The Carr 2 show suite features an optional frosted transom window with an optional opaque barn door to bring natural light into the interior bedroom. The kitchen in this compact apartment is smartly laid out along one wall, creating more living and dining space. The standard model is priced from the low $200,000s.

The Atwood 2 is the builder’s largest floor plan, priced from the mid-$300,000s. Logel’s design team pulled out their best and brightest options for this model, including attractive herringbone flooring, white thin-wale wall panelling, walk-in closets with built-ins and backlit vanity mirrors in the primary ensuite.

The hallmark of a Logel condo are features typically found in a single-family home, such as pot drawers, glass-door cabinets, wall ovens and pantry cupboards, all showcased in The Atwood. This bright corner unit, with windows on two walls of the primary bedroom, also has a 130-square-foot outdoor space.

There are three other two-bedroom, two-bathroom models at Seton West. The 971-square-foot Cohen 2 corner unit, priced from the mid-$300,000s; the 905-square-foot Jackson 2, Logel’s most popular floor plan, starting in the low $300,000s, and the 753-square-foot Findlay 2 priced from the high $200,000s.

These units showcase more optional design details, such as dark wood feature walls with matching ceiling beams, extended kitchen islands, hood fans over the cook top, double vanities and gold plumbing fixtures.

The sixth suite, the two-bedroom, one-bathroom Curnoe 2, profiles Logel’s standard features like quartz countertops, soft-close maple doors and drawers, stainless steel appliances, luxury vinyl plank floors, nine-foot ceilings and premium sound attenuation. Priced from the mid-$200,000s, this suite has oversized windows, an L-shaped kitchen and 125 square foot patio (main floor). The interior bedroom at the front of this suite can be built with a frosted glass transom window for natural light.

Buyers can choose from 12 floor plans and can mix and match their interiors from an array of standard features, with an extensive catalogue of options which build onto the final price of the unit.

Sales in Seton West were launched in 2021 with new floor plans just released in Building 4. Logel has also attributed the location to the development’s vigorous sales.

“One of the reasons for success here is this amazing community that Brookfield is developing. There’s the South Health Campus hospital, the Brookfield Residential YMCA, one of the largest YMCAs in North America. There are amenities within walking distance — grocery stores, movie theatres, restaurants and a community centre that will be built adjacent to our site here,” he said, referring to the future Seton Resident’s Association facility.

Seton West is at 200 Seton Circle S.E. Show homes hours are Monday to Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., weekends and holidays from noon to 5 p.m.
