The James House Neighbourhood Hub Recieves the 2025 Art Smith Project Award

We are proud to share that The James House Neighbourhood Hub has received the 2025 Art Smith Project Award by the Calgary Homeless Foundation. This recognition celebrates innovation, effectiveness and a measurable impact in helping people transitioning out of homelessness.

The Neighbourhood Hub by McMan Calgary and Area received the Project Award because it delivers barrier-free, wraparound services to individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The project has demonstrated impact through on-site health care, cultural programming, and employment supports—creating a trusted, integrated space that strengthens housing stability and community connection.

This achievement would not have been possible without your generous support. Your contribution helped transform the hub into a warm, welcoming, and functional space. Since opening in April 2024, we’ve hosted 460 activities, welcomed 2,548 participants, and supported 441 unique individuals—a testament to the power of community collaboration.” — The Calgary Homeless Foundation
