We are proud to share that The James House Neighbourhood Hub has received the 2025 Art Smith Project Award by the Calgary Homeless Foundation. This recognition celebrates innovation, effectiveness and a measurable impact in helping people transitioning out of homelessness.
“The Neighbourhood Hub by McMan Calgary and Area received the Project Award because it delivers barrier-free, wraparound services to individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
The project has demonstrated impact through on-site health care, cultural programming, and employment supports—creating a trusted, integrated space that strengthens housing stability and community connection.
This achievement would not have been possible without your generous support. Your contribution helped transform the hub into a warm, welcoming, and functional space. Since opening in April 2024, we’ve hosted 460 activities, welcomed 2,548 participants, and supported 441 unique individuals—a testament to the power of community collaboration.” — The Calgary Homeless Foundation

The Neighbourhood Hub is located in Hillhurst and is connected to The James House, which provides safe housing and support for people who were previously unhoused.
